About the project

ScenePets is an experiment in bringing an ordinary picture to life. An AI reads the photo into a simple scene graph – where’s the floor, the sofa, the pot plant – and ten little pets decide for themselves what to do with what they find.

The image itself never changes. All the life sits in a layer on top, so the same photo can come alive in a new way every time.

Current state

What works

  • Upload your own photos from phone or computer
  • Ten pets with their own behaviours, moving on top of the untouched image
  • A fallback mode with generic surfaces when the analysis doesn't respond
  • Works without an account

What isn’t finished

  • The AI analysis of the image isn't responding – the heart of the experience is missing for now
  • A dragon theme exists in the code but has no picker in the interface
  • No screenshots of the real experience, since the analysis is down

Why is this project on BSite?

  • Depends on a service that is not responding
  • Experimental concept

The idea depends entirely on an AI understanding what is in the photo. That service isn't responding right now, and without it the experience is a shadow of itself. Rather than promise something the app can't deliver, it is parked here as paused until the analysis works again.

Development log

  1. Paused and moved to BSite.

  2. Published on EverydayApps. The AI analysis already wasn't responding then, and the app fell back on generic surfaces.
