About the project
Pappersflyget (Swedish for “the paper plane flight”) is gliding, not powered flight: the plane is always sinking, and every flight is a series of small lifts. Crash and the round is over – one tap starts the next.
The whole game lives in a single HTML file with canvas and plain JavaScript – no frameworks and no external resources.
What’s missing is a reason to fly again after the tenth time: levels with an ending, goals to reach and a best score that’s still there on your next visit.
Current state
What works
- Three difficulty levels – gentle breeze, tailwind and storm
- A random landscape with trees, houses, bridges, mountains, balloons and flocks of birds
- An eagle that actively hunts you, and gusts of wind that push you sideways
- Shield, slow motion, magnet and thermals
- Mouse, keyboard and touch; original sound and installable
What isn’t finished
- No levels or goals – just as far as possible
- The best score only lasts for the session
- Everything in a single file, without tests
Why is this project on BSite?
- Features are not complete yet
Pappersflyget is charming and easy to pick up, but thin – after a few flights there is nothing more to discover. It is shown here early in its life. With more levels and goals to fly towards, it is ready to move back to EverydayGames.

Development log
Moved to BSite. The game itself stays at the same address, everydaygames.se/pappersflyget/.
The sound effects replaced with custom-produced audio.
Built as an endless gliding game in a single HTML file.
