About the project
Min Musikstudio (Swedish for “my music studio”) is made for children who want to make their own music without first learning a music program. The instruments are right there, one tap makes a sound, and recording is a single red button.
A song is built track by track: the drum first, then hand claps on top while the drum plays, and finally vocals through the device’s microphone. Everything stays in the child’s own browser.
The studio is built without audio libraries, straight on the browser’s Web Audio. What remains is to hear it for real – with a real microphone, on a real phone.
Current state
What works
- Seven instruments – drum, djembe, cymbal, triangle, maracas, tambourine and hand claps
- Layered recording, where earlier tracks play back while a new one goes on top
- A mixer with volume per track and undo per take
- Songs are saved in the browser and can be downloaded as WAV files
- Touch and keyboard (1–7); no account and no server calls
What isn’t finished
- Vocal recording has never been tried with a real microphone – only in a test environment without audio input
- The audible mix and the timing of the vocal track are calculated, not measured
- Not tried on iPhone or iPad
Why is this project on BSite?
- Features are not complete yet
Everything works, but the most important promise – singing over your own song – has only been verified in a test environment without a microphone. Better to show it honestly here than to promise it in a curated catalogue. Once recording has been tried with a real microphone on phone and computer, the studio moves on – to EverydayApps, since it is more a tool than a game.

Development log
Moved to BSite. The app itself stays at the same address, everydaygames.se/musikstudio/.
Built and published on the same day. All the audio checks in the build were structural.
